Ebisu is a Chrome extension that helps job seekers find ATS-source job postings and keep track of roles they discover while searching.
Information Ebisu stores
Ebisu stores job history locally in Chrome storage. Saved job records may include:
- job title
- job URL and canonical URL
- source hostname
- status, such as Seen, Saved, or Applied
- first-seen and last-updated timestamps
- optional listing date when visible in search results
Where data is stored
Job history is stored locally in your browser using Chrome local storage. Ebisu does not operate an external server for storing job history and does not transmit your saved job history to the developer.
What Ebisu does not collect
- Ebisu does not require an account.
- Ebisu does not collect payment information.
- Ebisu does not sell user data.
- Ebisu does not use third-party analytics.
- Ebisu does not transmit your saved job history to external servers.
Page access and permissions
Ebisu requests access to Google Search and supported ATS domains so it can identify ATS-hosted job listings, show save/status controls, and display an ATS-page toolbar. Supported ATS hosts include Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workday domains.
Ebisu uses the Chrome storage permission to save job history locally. It uses the tabs permission to open generated Google searches and saved job links from the extension popup.
User controls
You can delete individual job records, clear all Ebisu history, or export your job history as a CSV from the extension popup.

This policy may be updated as Ebisu changes. The latest version will be published on this page.
